AHS 2022 | The NIH priorities for migraine research

Michael Oshinsky, PhD, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD, discusses the priorities for migraine research in the coming years. There is a strong emphasis on developing a greater understanding of the pain associated with migraine and how to relieve individuals suffering from them. Attributes commonly associated with migraine, including mental fog, gastrointestinal, and vestibular symptoms, are all understudied. Therefore, there is hope that applications concerning these symptoms will be submitted to the NIH in the near future. This interview took place at the 2022 American Headache Society (AHS) Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver, CO.
