AHS 2022 | Challenges in pediatric headache research

Serena Orr, MD, MS, FAHS, The University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, discusses the current challenges in pediatric headache research. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, recruiting participants into studies across all fields has been more difficult. With the many changes and stressors that have occurred since the start of the pandemic, the main challenge in pediatric headache research has been to acquire patient participation – therefore, new ideas are needed for how to engage with individuals in the new social context we live in. This interview took place during the 2022 American Headache Society (AHS) Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver, CO.
