Roi Cohen Kadosh, PhD, University of Surrey, Guilford, UK, discusses recent research on personalized brain stimulation for effective neurointervention. There is currently a generalized methodological approach for treatment via neurostimulation – not being specific or representative of an individual’s characteristics and needs. With individual differences contributing to how individuals respond and are affected by neurostimulation, a personalized approach is needed. As a result of multiple findings, an algorithm was developed to determine the level of neurostimulation – maximizing the treatment potential based on individual characteristics. This interview was conducted during the 2022 World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) meeting.
