Louis Caplan, MD, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, talks about how biomarkers could be used more effectively in stroke medicine. Currently, biomarkers are used commonly as a means for determining an abnormality in a patient. However, Prof. Caplan explains that biomarkers are only useful if they provide additional insights beyond what clinical examination can reveal.
