AAN 2021 | Provider and patient perspectives on inpatient teleneurology consult service

Amy Guzik, MD, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC, discusses the inpatient teleneurolgy consult service implemented at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Studies were conducted to understand how patients and providers, both ordering providers at satellite hospitals and consulting neurologists experienced inpatient virtual teleneurology consultations. The program was a great success and was well-received by the patients and physicians. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
