Oscar Gershanik, MD, Favaloro University, Buenos Aires, Argentina, discusses the challenges that come with the early management of Parkinson’s disease. The two main challenges are when and how to start treatment. Prof. Gershanik emphasizes the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle to improve the prognosis of Parkinson’s disease. Prof. Gershanik also briefly talks about the history of levodopa and how there is a resurgence in the overuse of the drug.
