EAN 2021 | Collaboration between neurology and palliative care services in ALS

David Oliver, BSc, FRCP, FRCGP, University of Kent, Kent, UK, outlines the findings of a Europe-wide survey investigating collaboration between neurology and palliative care services. The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) Reference Group on Neurology and The European Academy of Neurology Palliative Care Scientific Panel conducted a survey of palliative care specialists and neurologists to look into the involvement of palliative care services with people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis/motor neuron disease (ALS/MND). Prof. Oliver discusses the implications of what was found. This interview took place during the European Academy of Neurology 2021 congress.
