ESOC 2022 | Prehospital stroke management with mobile stroke units

Karianne Larsen, MD, University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway, & Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation, comments on the concept of the mobile stroke unit (MSU) which is rapidly expanding worldwide. MSUs enable prehospital stroke diagnosis and treatment, associated with a reduction in treatment delay. In this way, more patients are able to be treated with thrombolytic agents within the required 4.5-hour time window. This interview took place at the ESOC 2022 congress in Lyon, France.
