CONy 2022 | Assessing the relevance of lifestyle interventions for managing MS

Agne Straukiene, MD, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Torquay, UK, provides her perspectives on whether lifestyle interventions play a role in multiple sclerosis (MS) management in conjunction with disease modifying treatments. Numerous evidence-based trials have demonstrated the benefits of exercise in reducing fatigue and depression, as well as increasing resilience to disease progression. Despite the need for further studies, ketogenic diets and intermittent fasting have additionally also shown promise in reducing the severity of the disease. This interview was conducted during the 2022 World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) meeting.
